Leaving for college...finally?

So I'm going to be leaving for college on the 20th, and I'm not 100% excited. The whole experience of the dorm should be fun, but I'm still skeptical of living with a complete stranger in a small room. And going to school is never a fun experience, but I am taking some fun classes. I'm just strangely hesitant about the whole experience, and leaving home.

For those of you in college, is there a commonly forgotten item that you recommend I bring to the campus? I've mostly packed everything, but you never know. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I think the idea of not living with my parents is one of the reasons why I am excited the most. I'm tired of having to listen to their unreasonable demands, and them treating me like a little kid. Hopefully they will learn to respect me more once I leave home.

My roommate has tried to talk to me once or twice, and all I know about him is that he's from around Seattle and that he doesn't know how to plug in an Xbox. Hopefully he's not a complete douche, but I'm a pessimist.

The college that I'm going to is Western Washington University, which you can see here. It's a really cool campus and school, and if anyone from this site wants to visit or is applying/enrolling just contact me and we can kick it.

Expect me to be posting some stories on my epic adventure, with plenty of pictures too. Leaving on Sunday, so hopefully I can get my internet and things like that working fine.
