Credits: 1 ![]() | I'm sorry, from a distant space I heard something terribly, terribly wrong, and decided to step in to correct it. Heroes of Newerth (HoN) can't possibly be better than League of Legends (LoL). I know you're thinking, "But that's an opinion, you can't say that!" but you'd be wrong - I have proof that your 'opinion' is wrong. Let's start at the beginning. Defense of the Ancients (DotA) was the father of both of these ideas, in the same way Aeon of Strife (AoS) was a father-figure to DotA. DotA was an incredible hit, spawning a large following, a very competitive atmosphere, and even a catchy song! After DotA, the developer and head of the official support base (Guinsoo and Pendragon) asked themselves, "How can we make DotA better?" Forming the company Riot Games, the team worked to improve upon the flaws of DotA, reworking aspects of the game that needed it. They created a game that was the direct predecessor of DotA - LoL was designed to be a better, more complete game than DotA had ever been, a direct improvement on their own popular design. Meanwhile, in a damp cold cave, a horrid slimy creature with wiry hair requests permission from the old DotA team to take over its old form. Riot Games smiled, giving the strange gremlin their old beloved game. "Take care of it," they said, hoping that the gremlin would have fun with it, but certainly not worried about competition, especially since they were handing off an old game and putting out a new and improved one. The gremlin took the game of DotA, and added non-game features, meaning that he did not alter the game except in ways that do not affect game play. Meaning it's the same game. It's not different. No, you be quiet. It's not different at all. Now, let's recap! HoN is the same as DotA; LoL is an improvement to DotA. Therefore, using the transitive property (a=b and b=c, therefore a=c) we can conclude that LoL is an improvement to HoN. For those of you not wanting to follow basic mathematical logic, saying "HoN is better than LoL" is exactly the same as saying "Windows 98 is better than Windows 7." Hopefully this has been an informational moment, and you've seen the error of your ways. Look forward to seeing you all on LoL! To the nothingness, I return! Less bias version: Remove the part about HoN developers being a gremlin. The rest of it is still correct. |

![]() TBFE Level 10 | I'm still pretty bad, but I'm improving a lot. The problem is that if you play with us (I'm a level 20, all of my roommates/friends from school here are like 30's) you're going to get matched up with premade teams of 30's, and it's going to take a lot longer for you to learn. I would play some games by yourself with the champion you find yourself most comfortable with and learn how to play him/her as well as you can. If you want though, you can jump in to premade's with us and see how you do. It's helpful because guys like VoiceOfReason (my roommate) are extremely helpful on vent when we're playing. Overall, just don't get too frustrated with the game, it is very difficult, and very hard to get good at, but once you start improving, it sure is fun. Anyways, add me, I'll play with you even if it's just us 2.

I think anyone that has ever played a computer game with me knows that the game would have to be raping and murdering my children before I got mad at it. I'm wayyyy too lax when it comes to PC games. IE: Tigga Pool - Mini-Games Team Profile, Stats, Schedule, Players, News - Mini-Games for PC Record: 52 & 165. Yeah. Yay!!! Level up, buddy! <3, Tigga.
