Gamestop = Shit

so ya, my brother has been naggin me about taking him to get mass effect 2. So I take him to the gamestop 5 mins down the road, walk in. ring up mass effect 2, he asks for an ID, I get ready to take mine out. Then he tells me, that if my brother is paying he has to be over 17, So I figure, ok he is only doing his job, so i tell him I will pay for it. Then he says "Ohhh ummm, you see I can't sell to you either now since I know your buying it for him". So I tell him ok whatever dude see ya, end up driving 20 mins to the closest best buy, and when we buy it there, they didn't even bother asking for an ID.

What happened from this story? Gamestop lost me for good as a customer, I would rather take a 20 min trip over a 5 min one just cause of how fucking horrible gamestop is.

Power to the players my ass.

It's not like that has ever happened before.

You must shelter them from bad words and violence. They haven't seen it anywhere else! Not in movies, not at school, not on TV, nowhere.

It isn't even about that, its about the fact that how many kids send there parents in to buy games for them, and the people who work there, KNOW that there obviously buying them for there kid standing RIGHT NEXT TO THEM.

Gamestop has shitty customer service, and the only reason why they don't care is because there the only major console and PC game provider. Fucking ridiculous.

See, I remember when Blockbuster did this and when I was 12 I wanted Socom for PS2.

I went to get it and they said I couldn't buy it without my mom or dad there.
So I found my mom in the store and got her to come to the front and say I could get it.
After that the guy who wouldn't sell it said that there is online for the game and it is very violent and has strong language.

My mom laughed, I got the game no problem then.

Now, why shouldn't you have, I have no clue.
You should have been clever about it.

Why didn't after the fact just say that it was for you and make a big scene about how they won't sell you the game you are allowed to buy. Make the guy feel like a complete idiot and after he finally hands the game over to you tell him your little brother will send him a friend request.

Legally I am almost certain that they can no deny the sell of a game to you even if they know your brother will play it. I seriously would have called the police, just like in that video where that guy gets his impounded car out with pennies

The scene you would have caused would have been more then enough, I bet had you called the corporate customer service with your argument then they would probably give you some kind of incentive to return. I would actually say you should still do this.

I complained telling them that they refused me the sale. They offered me 20% off the game, not even worth it since I already bought it. I told them they need to get over the smell of there own asses and hung up.

I don't really care anymore, im not going to gamestop anymore, not even worth my time.
