Recently, I have been debating whether to make this thread. I have come to the conclusion that I should, but besides the one point I was going to make, I wanted to talk a little bit. Now, let me talk about my main idea first.

This idea was proposed by Trevor after talking to him and some of the other staff, but the idea was solely Trevor’s. I will be blunt. In recent weeks, there has been low activity, staff issues, trolling issues, just a ton of shit. Now, I don’t mind it in little doses. No one does, but shit hit the fan. Those who stepped up, I was proud of, but overall, we lost two staff members. Along with that, many staff are inactive which is frustrating for me as an administrator. So, this is where the idea comes in. I am requiring all staff to reapply for their job. Now, if you aren’t staff, you won’t be excluded from this. I am looking for new people to perhaps replace (some of) the current staff.

As of now, the Staff Application section is officially open. I am looking for active members for ALL SECTIONS. This includes OMGfx, BestStudioEver, and Chillgamers. As staff, you shouldn’t just moderate, unless you are a global moderator. By the way, the only way to become a global moderator is to be a moderator previously, so don’t bother asking for that position. Doing so will make me not even consider you. By not just moderating, I mean that you should keep the section active, run contests (keep the contests active), and contribute (For example, create battles in graphics section or donating resources to the video section). So you have a good idea on how to become staff, you have a better chance of becoming staff by applying to those areas that are less popular. Also, I look for people who are always on aim or messenger (or any other instant messenger client). I shall choose for v3.

Now, let me talk about a few things such as recent events. I will start with v3. Many of you have been asking when it is coming. Why isn’t it here yet? Does it really exist? I get these questions almost daily and multiple times a day. Let me state that it exists. It is being worked on almost every day. Vince has been working extremely hard on this around his busy schedule. It is hard, let me tell you that. He isn’t doing this for anything, so this is extremely nice of him. So you can get a good idea on what he has to do, let me try to explain it with what he told me. He has to design everything: the homepage, and the four skins (AKA we are getting separate skins for each section again). As for the missing homepage, we are using a different type of homepage. I hated vBAdvanced and so did he. We are going to Wordpress and I am going to bridge it. So, he has to design that, code it into HTML, and finally add the Wordpress Loops to get it to work. With the homepage, he needs to make custom modifications to make it perfect. These modifications will provide you new posts for all the sections and other such functions. On top of that, he needs to recode it and change it so it works well with the forum. That alone is a lot of work. To top it off that work, he needs to figure out the perfect color scheme so everyone wins, create the logo and ALL buttons and code it. With that, he needs to do it FOUR times for each section. This is extreme.

Like I said, it’s a COMPLETE makeover of the site. I have got a lot of your opinions on how to improve the site and I have a huge, four page list on my desktop to work on TBFE. Also, I have added some things on the backend for TBFE to improve everything and some things that will be announced later. Please be somewhat considerate with everything. You don’t realize what we are doing on the back end to get this site to be the best on the internet. A lot of sites claim that they are the best forum ever, but that is totally fraudulent. We are THE BEST FORUM EVER, it wouldn’t be if our domain didn’t say it. I am sorry to say that it is taking longer than I expected. I asked many times for it to be done before February, but that wasn’t the case. Unfortunately, we don’t have a date set. I am personally in favor of not having a date set because I don’t want to rush on perfection. When you see the forum is offline, you will know what is going on

As for the rest of the nonsense going on, I am going to briefly address it here. It seems like a lot of you are on your period with sand mixing. Stop, it is really annoying. I created this forum for exactly not this purpose. For a long time, there were no issues what-so-ever. TBFE was meant for calm discussion, intelligent debates, and for a fun time. We have been doing that for over a year now and I want to bring it back to that. Accusing the staff as Gestapo’s is being ridiculous. They want this site to live as much as I do and I endorse what they are doing because they care. If you don’t like it, tough shit, go find another forum to troll, flame, and spam on. I don’t want it. I have spent too much money on this site for it to go down hard. I have put way too many hours to give up so easily. Normally, the staff takes a lax approach towards all problems, but being a dick and taking advantage of this, we will tighten our belts and start whipping out or hammers (in my case, my e-penis) and smacking you with them.

Overall, I am telling you to expect big things, but don’t go crazy over hype because it will drive you insane. With that said, I promise you that I will make everything great. I am going to provide some contests and such. I know I have said this in the past, but I have read a lot of articles and see my mistakes with my previous actions. All I ask is your activity. Feel free to bring you friends. Everything will be all right!

I hope that just because a mod reapplys does not mean that magically get their spot back. You need to look at who need to really be in power, and how many really need to be in power. admin, Global mod, and mod or 2 would be fine because we don't need people getting their daddies pants and thinking they run YOUR site

Fuck yeah wordpress as a home page. I've always hated any forum cms software and I must say that using a proper cms is the right way to go. Good thinking guys

I'll re-evaluate whether I want to continue as a moderator in this forum over a couple of days and I'll re-apply in a couple of days if I do decide that I want to stay on.
