Faroese Sunset

I saw Mathiasa's thread and thought about making one myself

His picture is better imo, i took mine with a old cell phone so you don't get so many colours and the resolution is very low. sorry

You can see that pretty much everything is red except the landscape. Coolest thing is that the ocean also turned red

where did u take this pic? what phone do you have?
i like it alot and u shouldnt be sorry about the color. i think we can see alot of the colors with what youve got right here.

it was taken on Faroe Islands, the cell phone was either a SE K700i or a W810i

Had both, but can't remember wich one i took the picture with.

if this was shot HDR, with an SLR it would have turned out really beautifully. The composition is nice, good eye

i'm an amateur when it comes to electronics.

Well, I wouldn't say it was a bad capture.
Rather an interesting capture! It feels very lomo!

A few questions, what language do you speak there? Is it Icelandic, Norwegian or something along the same lines? I know for sure you speak Danish right?

I am also very glad that I inspired you to do something like this!

We talk Faroese here, also know as "modern old-norwegian". Danish isn't a primary language here, but it's something everyone can speak.

And yes i got kinda inspired to post a sunset by your thread, tho my picture was taken 2 years ago

That is an amazing picture especially given that it was taken with a phone.

The resolution of the image makes it really hard to produce something nice with this in Photoshop. Way too much noise.

Tried cranking the brightness up with Levels, but it doesn't look any good.
