'New Moon' Breaks Box-Office Record

'New Moon' breaks boxoffice record - Yahoo! Movies

Summit Entertainment’s vampire-romance sequel “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” rung up a record $72.7 million in opening-day boxoffice on Friday, easily topping domestic rankings.

That bested a previous single-day boxoffice mark of $67.2 million, set by Warner Bros.’ Batman sequel “The Dark Knight” in July 2008.

This is what Christian Bale had to say about the matter:

Christian Bale: AM I GOING TO MAKE A FILM THAT WILL BREAK YOUR FILM'S RECORD? THEN WHY THE FUCK DID YOU MAKE A FILM THAT BROKE MY FILM'S RECORD? AH DA DA DAH LIKE THAT AT THE BOX OFFICE? I didn't watch the first because of the story in the movie, nor am I going to watch the second. Hell, how did this movie beat The Dark Knight? It's not really hyped up a lot (That I have seen) and it's about vampires falling in love or something. C'mon! Who Watches vampires falling in love? They're vampires! Oh wait, I guess a lot of people do.

I guarantee the sales were made from lovely girls and their boyfriends that just tagged a long because they had to.

Also, did Mr. Bale actually say this? I demand a video.

Also, no Christian Bale didn't say this. Remember the whole thing about blowing up on a stage guy in the Terminator(?) set? I think that's where it came from albeit with some liberal edits. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Terrible movie. I went with a really fine girl to the midnight showing. third date was hoping for some make out or something. No all it was was them freaking out every time taylor Locksomethingorother took his shirt off which was 50 percent of the movie. terrible speacial effects. cheapest since like the first starwars. And all the actors are fucking bad. but everyone loved it. It was so bad I cant see why people like this shit.
