Am I the only one here that watches LOST? It sure as hell seems like it since there isn't a single LOST thread that I've seen in this section of the forum.

Anyway, discuss LOST's greatness.

You're not the only one, Shunt. I love you actually for making this thread. I have been waiting and counting for the release of LOST's new series to come out in good ol' England.
I could do with re-watching last series to refresh my memory.

Is it just Shunt and myself that love LOST?

Lost is the best show on television. and there really is no disputing that. it is smart tv, no other show dows that better

as much as it frustrates the hell out of me with the questions, i keep coming back. and i cannot wait for the 5th season to start. they really got back on track last season and now that they have an end date I think it will only get better

One thing I love about LOST the most if the questions. The way they end a series just wets your appetite. The series before always answers a previous, or questions, and then creates more questions when it finishes.
I wonder where the island went?

my theory is not where the island when but WHEN did it go. I think it went to a different time, like when DHARMA was still around (just judging by the clips i have seen). granted this would make it harder for Jack and the rest to get back to, but stranger things have happened on the island

It's extremely likely that is the case, yes. And remember the trailer with the guy in the Hazmat suit kicking the door out and pointing the gun at Daniel? If the Island did indeed go back in time, could this fellow possibly be the famous Radzinsky(sp?)?

And yes, LOST is, by far, the greatest television show on right now. Anyone who thinks otherwise obviously hasn't seen the show.

I think the island is a figment of Jack's imagination. He is actually in a Jail Cell somwhere in the Pacific Islands.

God I tried to atch it one day and I was so Lost lol (I can has punz?) but seriously I cannot follow the story line and I have never gotten into it.

this is the promo i was talking about. look for the scene where a man in a hazmat suit points a gun at Daniel Fariday (or however you spell his last name) there is also a promo (which i cannot find now) where Locke is heard saying "when am i" but it is backwards...ill see if i can find it and post it plus the reversed audio

You might not have noticed, but if you look closely at the trailer you posted and go to 2:20-2:21, you will see something interesting.

I wonder why it is so important they go back and the island wants them? How will they get back now that the island has moved? Will Ben ever be back? He is no longer allowed back to the island as he turned the wheel that moved the island. What will happen when they return to the island?

I think they were always meant to stay on the Island. The fact that they left puts everyone in jeopardy. Just like how Desmond was meant to press that button. Remember what Ms. Hawkings said to Desmond? If he asked Penny to marry him and not go down the path leading to the button, everyone is dead. So we can assume that if the Oceanic Six(maybe Desmond, Walt, and Frank too?) don't go back to the Island and do what they were meant to do, everyone is dead.

A plane? I mean, in the Fray music video for LOST, there is an Ajira Airways logo so are the writers hinting at another plane crash of some sort? I don't think that would be a good way to get back on the Island because it's already been done, but maybe?

Probably not. It's hard to say that too because eventually, everyone that left the Island will probably be back on it and since Ben is not allowed back on the Island, it may mean Michael Emerson will have less of a role on LOST. Not totally surprising, but a disappointment.

What will happen when they return to the island?

We will definitely see. Soon, the show will go from science to myth and ancient civilizations. At least, that's what I think.

Sounds rather reasonable. Just leaves me with wondering why they were put there. From a staged plane crash, to Ben making a list of names they must capture; The plane had only just crashed when Ben made the list. How could he know who was there if it wasn't on purpose?

This could be true. Remember when Sawyer and Kate were captured and were breaking rocks, they asked Juliet why they were doing it. She replied their building a runway on Hydra Island. Maybe they have built the runway since the 6 have been off the island.

I had the feeling it was going towards an ancient civilization too. I was suspecting it since the four-toed foot statue and the end of the recent season. The room with the wheel to move the island just looks old, and the wheel is old too. DHARMA obviously didn't create a lot of the buildings, etc. on the island except the stations.
