Default Which laptop?

So my parents said that i can pick out a laptop for my birthday, so now I have to choose one. What do you guys think? What kind of laptop should i get? I'm thinking under $1500, maybe a macbook and bootcamp vista onto it? Anyway, let me know what you guys think would be a good media/internet/a little gaming laptop?

I'd go for a Toshiba. It's the one that I have and it's worked like a charm since I acquired it.

However, stay away from Acer. My first laptop was an Acer and it was essentially a cheap piece of junk. Crashed two or three times, was generally a complete pain...not worth it. I'm glad it crashed for a final time, cos now I've got my Toshiba.

Yeah, get the new Macbook.
It's a really great notebook, peformance-wise as well as cosmetically.
And you can never go wrong with OS X.

I ended up getting a Toshiba Qosmio F55-Q202. 15.4 inch screen, 3GB DDR2 RAM, Core 2 Duo processor at 2.0GHz, 320GB harddrive, and a 9700M GTS graphics card with 512 MB dedicated RAM for $850.
