RIPPON & THG SKILL!? YOU'VE GOT TO BE SHITTING ME. Those two were what got most people tossing nades off walls and no scoping for no apparent reason. You may know your MLG but montages aren't your strong points.

Oh dear, the controversial montage kid vs. MLG argument.

The logical explanation why standards for montages sky rocketed is simple. In Halo 2, nobody had a capture in the beginning. Rippon provided the enjoyable videos, he set the standard. More and more people got capture cards, the standards rose more and more.

Then Halo 3 comes out, those same people have capture cards, which is a lot of people and theater is out. The new toy for Halo 3 fans globally. People use the fileshare and have people capture your clips. Halo 2, it was rare where you got to save your rape clips. Halo 3, you can do it whenever you want. Of course we are bound to see amazing things happen. That is why standards are so damn high. The first year of Halo 2, montages were shit compared to montages 3 years later... I mean seriously, Rippon and THG were facing terrible people lol. Halo 3 standards are already up there with Halo 2 standards and people except some amazing shit.

It all depends how you play. There is no right or wrong way to play, as long as you have fun. Quinn faces good people, I face bad people a lot and use clips on them (I used myself as an example, just because I don't feel like thinking lol). Both of which can be enjoyable.
