I hate Montreal, but that opening ceremony was special. Boston, Montreal and Toronto are all very special teams in the world of hockey. The teams and the fans have a bond, there is passion, history... so much that makes these teams worth so much more than the others. They actually matter, and are the only teams that matter. There is a passion/love behind these teams that can't be described. I hate Montreal (with a passion) but would rather see them win over ANY team (besides Boston and Toronto) because it actually means something, it means soooo much. I got goosebumps and almost tears from the opening ceremony.

Le souverainisme est un probl?me social plutot qu'?conomique. Il existe toujours cette perception des anglais qui ont abattus les patriotes, les anglais qui ont laiss?s passer la conscription en 1917 et 1945, mais je crois que le probl?me se retrouve vraiment dans la n?gligence de la langue fran?aise par les anglophones hors-Qu?bec (Canada et ?tats-Unis). Il est certe qu'un ?tat autonome fran?ais en Am?rique du Nord permettrait aux Qu?b?cois d'acqu?rir un plus grand pouvoir et un plus grand respect sur la scene internationnale mais je reste d'avis que le mot ?Canada? devrait faire allusion ? une population bilingue et non ? une population francophone au Qu?bec et anglophone ailleure au pays. Ainsi tout le monde au Canada m?riterait d'?tre servi dans sa langue natale peu importe son emplacement et que tous les services internationnaux doivent ?tre disponibles en fran?ais et en anglais dans mon pays.

Ceci dit, tout cela reste difficilement envisageable lorsque qu'? peine 17% de la population est bilingue (43% pour les francophones et 9% pour les anglophones). C'est pour ?a que je trouve qu'apprendre le fran?ais est important m?me lorsque cela semble inutile; c'est pour mettre fin ? une lutte raciale qui divise le pays.
