Default McCain Vs Obama

Just trying to inform, not advise!

SIMPLE MATH:

2008 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE COMPARISON TALKING POINTS

ISSUE JOHN McCAIN VS BARAK OBAMA
Favors new drilling offshore US Yes No
Will appoint judges who interpret the law not make it Yes No

Served in the US Armed Forces Yes No
Amount of time served in the US Senate 22 YEARS 173 DAYS
Will institute a socialized national health care plan No Yes

CAPITAL GAINS TAX
MCCAIN 0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.
OBAMA 28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)
DIVIDEND TAX
MCCAIN 15% (no change)
OBAMA 39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')
INCOME TAX
MCCAIN
(no changes) Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250
OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts) Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!
INHERITANCE TAX
MCCAIN - 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)
OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.
NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA
New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

Obama is still more of a guy to lead a country than McCain.

What people keep forgetting is that our country as a whole is in a trillion dollar deficit, and not just one trillion. We just pledged another billion to Georgia, the country, and feed the war in Iraq over 10 billion dollars a month. People talk about democratic spending but the money spent by this administration over these last 8 years has been unbelievable. We're spending money we don't have and the richest, including the richest companies are paying far less % wise in taxes than you ever will. Something needs to be done to fix the deficit, how else do you suggest that we go about it?

Govt spending by the bush administration is huge. Govt spending is traditionally a liberal ideal though.

Bottom line for me is I just think that all of the government programs that Obama wants to setup is going to cost everyone money. He talks about taxing teh richer at a higher rate. What a lot of people do not understand is that when you tax rich people more AKA my boss where do you think they are going to get the money to help pay more taxes. They will be cutting back at work and not giving out more bonuses and raises. I just see it that way becuase that would directly affect me. I just do not think younger kids have enought invested it topics liek this to have a good grasp on it.

U.S. Senate: Legislation & Records Home > Votes > Roll Call Vote

scroll down to Biden...Obama's VP . Looks liek he voted for it. And go to Obama...oh wait he was not even in the senate yet. You might want to take a look at facts beofre you make emotional decisions.

What people forget is that we are the wealthiest country in the entire nation with over a 300 trillion dollars in revenue each year.

Exactly thats all you know... USA has a strong stand on Isolationism, we stick to our part of the world and never enter war unless provoked. (9/11, Pearl Harbor, German U boats sinking civilian boats) We dont engage in anything outside of diplomacy unless a direct attack has been put on our country. Because of this people dont really know what goes on inside the USA, you are from Sweeden, you probably could not name me the branches of government in our country, or explain the electoral college to me, just like I could not tell you the way that your political system works.

The fact of the matter is most of Europe is neutral and highly liberal(scared to get their feet wet), thus leading the ill informed European's to side with the left wings. What you dont realize is that Obama has no real experience in office, he has been in the senate for 4 years, 2 of which he was campaigning for presidency. You dont realize that Obama's campaign was endorsed by an Iraqi terrorist who was in custody in the United States, and was only released because of a technicality. You dont realize, that Obama was a member, and regular attender of an Anti White church for over 20 years, and considered pastor Wright his mentor and close friend

Lets not forget that Palin's experience in office (mayor and Governor) alone outdoes both Obama and Biden combined, then when you throw in McCain's 22 years they have far more experience in politics, and have been around for both the highs and lows of our country. Hell Obama was busy doing terrorist attacks on Harvard by locking school officials in there office, while McCain was in office during the years of Regonomics, which was economically the best time in US history

Edit: Let me continue by saying that Democrats support a larger national government, and what to have their hand in on more and more individual rights and decisions (Democrats like to spend more money while in office, they want to switch us to socialism and remove our right to health care, by taxing us and giving health care to everyone, thus eliminating the competition in health care) I could go on and on but I have had 4 political science classes in the last 2 days and I dont feel like discussing this stuff any further right now

A little on the Bias side, but that's ok.

Liberal governments in the US always restore the economy, and Americans are always much better of financially. Go back as far as you want, this doesn't just apply to Regonomics (I know Quinn will bring this up, so I suggest looking even further back).

You guys don't pay much in tax compared to many countries...

yours,
