Well, I'm writting this thread looking for help. I am not a dedicated/motivated person. If there is something I want I can picture it in my head and how I need to get there I just can't get there. I lose focus and motivation. My dedication towards my goals is lacking big time. It makes me feel like I am lacking some maturity because I can't become dedicated to something I really really want. For example, before school was over last year about two months left. I decided I wanted to lose weight. In two months I lost 15 pounds and gained a bunch of muscle. I worked out everyday for two months straight. Every morning at 6:45 a.m. I would go to the gym before school. I felt great. At this point I was looking alot better but I lost dedication and motivation. I stopped going to the gym because I put in all this work and I wasn't where I wanted to be. Summer had come and I stopped going to the gym. Now I find myself back to what I was before I started to work out. This is just one example, I lack dedication and motivation in other areas like school and working. Also I feel like I am lazy when it comes to these visions/goals I want to achieve, but I want them so bad. I don't get it. It's sad really. So I am writting here on a night I can't sleep hoping someone can help me. I need some help/tips on how I can stay dedicated. Let me know.

You can't gain motivation and dedication like it is an attribute.
What you need to find is something that you feel pride in doing and really enjoy doing it. I know exactly how you feel and what you are now, I was the same at school I had no motivation or any direction to go in life. I failed in school in many areas because I just didn't care. It wasn't until I left school I started working in the Hospitality industry in 4 star + hotels working on functions like weddings, birthdays, or on the cocktail bars, etc. that I felt I had achieved alot deep inside. I love looking at a function at the end of the day and seeing how nice it looks and how happy the people are or how I created a cocktail with the nicest taste, presentation and a smiling customer asking for another. Just find something you love and feel proud doing and the motivation and dedication will follow.

Mars, write your goals on Post-it notes and stick them EVERYWHERE. That way, you can't go anywhere in your house, without seeing them and realizing that you have shit to do and you need to get to it. That and you need to look at the big picture and set a long term goal, come up with a way to achieve it and then go about making smaller, short term goals that are easier to achieve on a smaller time frame.
Just some thoughts. Strength and honor,

I was the same way as you before I found my 'now' true love. What helped me become a more focused, motivated, dedicated person was finding all the ways other things mixed with my biggest and most favorite thing(we should all know that that would be Philosophy.)
Find what you really, really, really, really love in life, something that will shift your life into a completely new direction(hopefully the motivated kind) and stick with it. But like Velexis said, it's not an attribute you can just turn on in time. It's a lifestyle. (So what if that's completely retarded. I make catchphrases all the time. Get over it!) <3, Tigga.
