Actually, believe it or not, 4chan's "Game" came from a movie in 97. It was called "The Game" and was about a real life Game where the objective was to "find the objective". In a catch 22, you can never find the objective of the game, if you don't know what to do aka "the objective" or reason for playing.
Therfore for in the movie you were "always playing" while in 4chan's version, with a few contradicting rules, you are "always losing".
